In 7 days we’ll have the 24 Heures du Mans 2026!!! I think this might reserve some surprises: a brand new manufacturer in Hypercar (18 cars in the class), 19 LMP2 cars (seems like ACO will not kill the class, unlike WEC) and 25 LMGT3 (with just two Porsches 😲). Nonetheless, in Hypercar I don’t expect much from newcomer Genesis, so I guess it will once again be a battle of attrition between Ferrari and Toyota. Cool to have Astons in the fight, the same for BMW, but I doubt they’ll be true contenders. Well, unless shit happens, and shit happens a LOT at Le Mans. And just two porkers in a 62-car grid?!? I don’t think there were ever so few Porsches at La Sarthe since the early 50s… Troubling for sure 🤨.
Who’s gonna watch it? In my house the family has been officially notified that the TV is mine from early Saturday to Sunday at lunch and I don’t give a flying crap about soccer 😁.

After three years of arduous work, Audi recreates the awesome Lucca. Audi will officially debut the car at the 2026 Goodwood festival of Speed, so one more reason to watch the show this year.
Cool or what? 😎

On April 14th, 2021, a great friend of mine passed away. I’m very grateful for being able to call him friend for almost 20 years. Yet, 5 years ago he left us. Just like me, he was an avid collector and had a huge passion for Porsche. No doubt at all, at least some part of my collection was directly influenced by him.

For instance, the 1974 911 Carrera RSR Turbo #22. Not only did he introduce me to this car, but this model was a gift from him. To this day that RSR is one my most cherished models, because it was a gift from my dear friend.
Time passed but I still miss you, Gary 😢.
