OH YES! It was just announced that Rebellion Racing will partner up with Peugeot for FIA’s 2022 WEC Hypercar season. There aren’t much details out about the partnership, so it’s not clear if Rebellion will still run their R-13 LMP1 car in 2020.
As I said before, this new hypercar class is going to be awesome. With Peugeot committed and Aston Martin and Toyota confirmed, so far we will have three factory teams running hypercars. I’m really looking forward to next year’s season.

For the third time (!) this season, Red Bull Racing has again broken the F1 pit stop record. At the Brazilian GP this weekend they did a pit stop in 1.82 seconds. Yes, 1.82 seconds to take four tires out and put four new tires in. One. Point. Eighty two. Seconds.
Holy mercaptans, Batman! That is FAST!

And we’re back to the right race…
Released as Le Mans 1966 in Europe, I watched it last Friday. I was looking forward to seeing it, but I confess I didn’t have great expectations. However, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Both Christian Bale and Matt Damon work fantastically, and the really important part (= cars & races, of course) was very well recreated. In terms of historical accuracy there are some few things wrong as expected, but nothing that gets my panties in a (tight) bunch.
The only part that was a bit off in my eyes was Damon’s Shelby. I really doubt Hollywood would portrait him differently, but from what I know of him, in the film he’s too-much-adorable.
Still, even with these small issues, I had a very enjoyable two hours in the cinema. And yes, I need a Miles’ car now.
