{"id":3176,"date":"2018-08-29T07:54:39","date_gmt":"2018-08-29T10:54:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.w-143.com\/?p=3176"},"modified":"2019-03-14T10:11:32","modified_gmt":"2019-03-14T12:11:32","slug":"eq-silver-arrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w-143.com\/index.php\/2018\/08\/29\/eq-silver-arrow\/","title":{"rendered":"EQ Silver Arrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So far I&#8217;m not a great fan of electric cars, but I confess this looks <em>really<\/em> good:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/media.wired.com\/photos\/5b7f306e8233984faae38c86\/master\/w_582,c_limit\/Mercedes_Silver_Arrow.jpg\" width=\"582\" height=\"349\"><\/p>\n<p>According to Mercedes-Benz, the Silver Arrow EQ is a homage to the 1938 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w-143.com\/index.php\/mercedes-benz-w125-stromlinie-1938-minichamps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">W125 Stromlinie<\/a>. However, in my eyes it looks a LOT like Mercedes&#8217; arch-rival at the time, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w-143.com\/index.php\/typ-c-stromlinienwagon-31-minichamps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Auto Union Typ C Stromlinienwagon<\/a>. Independent of which car is the homage for, the fact is the car looks great.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes-Benz unveiled the prototype at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pebblebeachconcours.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pebble Beach Concours d\u2019Elegance<\/a> this week, and there&#8217;s a short video showing the car <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5GE1ng2TXDI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Definitively a model I would like to add to the <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">W<\/span><span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">&#8211;<\/span><span style=\"color: #6d6d6d;\">1<\/span><span style=\"color: #336600;\">43<\/span><\/strong> garage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So far I&#8217;m not a great fan of electric cars, but I confess this looks really good: According to Mercedes-Benz, the Silver Arrow EQ is a homage to the 1938 W125 Stromlinie.
