For this reason Lamborghini named the car as a homage to the magnificent bull. In March of 2003, at the Detroit Auto Show, the Murciélago Concept came to public. Designed by Luc Donckerwolke, head of Lamborghini Design. It was an open-top Murciélago, but at the time wasn’t called a roadster yet. According to Lamborghini, the new car would have the same drive train as the production Murciélago, and deliver the same performance, but with the driver’s hair in the wind. The Murciélago Concept was a success, hence the roadster entered production in 2004. By the end of the production run in 2010, 899 units came out of the factory.

 Murciélago Concept at home.

So, the S143 Forum car… For me, this is a quite special model. First, of course, because it’s a VERY exclusive model, the rarest that I have in my collection. But way more important of all, it’s special because it was a gift from my buddy Jeff. I know that gent for well over 12 or 13 years now, from way back to my 1:18 days. And one of the things that defines him is his big heart. So yesterday, totally out of the blue, a package arrives for me, and when I open it, I see this gem. The model is VERY well detailed, without a doubt one of the best that I have in the Garage, and with posable wheels! AUTOart did a fantastic job on the car.

The number on the bonnet is from S143’s numbering system for their forum cars.

I think it looks great on the base, so much that as a result I’ll display it like that. And as you can see, I’ve made different shots from what you normally see here. It’s an important model with a very personal value to me, so I decided to make the photos more personal.

Much more than a model.

Jeff, you truly honor me, and I just can’t express how grateful I am 🙂

PS: The Lambo was not the only car in the box.
