In 2013 Porsche released the 991 GT3, the brand\u2019s high-performance race-orientated model, with a 3.8 liters direct fuel injection flat-six engine. A very impressive car, with rear-wheel drive, rear-axle steering and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus. Two years later the <em>Rennsport <\/em>version of the car was released, where almost everything was improved. The engine was enlarged to 3996 cm\u00b3, becoming capable of delivering 493 hp. All that power translated to a 0-100 km\/h of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 309 km\/h. It also received a seven-speed twin-clutch PDK auto transmission, a roll cage in place of the rear seats and carbon-ceramic brakes with Porsche\u2019s typical yellow calipers. So if the GT3 already was badass, the GT3 RS became <em>BAD<\/em>ass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.w-143.com\/+upload\/porsche\/street\/porsche_gt3rs_2015_02.jpg\" alt=\"(991) GT3 RS\"\/><figcaption>Wings &#8211; usually that&#8217;s a plus in my book.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Officially \u201conly\u201d <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"2000 (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.meritpartners.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/unspecified-20.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">2000<\/a> of these cars were built (the production run was extended, so that number could be as high as 6000!), therefor it\u2019s not even close to being a rare car. However, it\u2019s one of Porsche\u2019s fastest production cars ever, totally deserving of the Rennsport badge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.w-143.com\/+upload\/porsche\/street\/porsche_gt3rs_2015_03.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Took a gamble on the color, but it was a win.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I wanted a current <strong>(991) GT3 RS<\/strong> for my garage, but wanted it to have some color, so I took the chance with this \u201cRiviera Blue\u201d. From all the pics I saw of the model I wasn\u2019t 100% sure about the color, but in the flesh it looks fantastic \ud83d\ude0e. Possibly a model only for P-cars collectors but without a doubt an awesome one. Minichamps did a helluva job on it, and it looks fantastic in my road car collection.
