Contemporary to the Murci\u00e9lago, the first generation of the Gallardo was a more gentle car. It&#8217;s 4961 cm\u00b3 V10 and semi-automatic robotized manual six-speed transmission was less brutish than the absurdly fast Murci\u00e9lago. In 2008 the second generation of the Gallardo came out. With just minute design improvements it had a bigger engine with a new direct fuel injection system. The LP 570-4 <em>Superleggera<\/em> (\u201cSuper light\u201d) was the last version of the Gallardo, released in March of 2010. It was lighter (1520 kg) and had a bigger (5204 cm\u00b3) and more powerful engine, capable of 562 hp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.w-143.com\/+upload\/street\/lamborghini_gallardo_2010_02.jpg\" alt=\"LP 570-4\"\/><figcaption>Lambos have to be in loud colors, right? I&#8217;m confident this orange is loud enough.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When I was collecting 1:18, I also had a Gallardo, but back then there was only the first generation \u201cregular\u201d coupe. So it was natural for me to now get the LP 570-4, the top dog of the range. And after the great <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Skyline R34 (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.w-143.com\/index.php\/nissan-skyline-gtr-r34-v-spec-ii-2000-autoar\/\" target=\"_blank\">Skyline R34<\/a>, it had to be from AUTOart and in <em>\u201cBorealis Orange\u201d<\/em>. I&#8217;m not exactly a fan of cars in loud colors, but that was the color of my old 1:18. Detail-wise I would say this is a step down from the R34 &#8211; still a very nice model, but the thick plastic windshield wipers and the molded (not photo-etched) Lamborghini badges detract a bit from the overall impression. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.w-143.com\/+upload\/street\/lamborghini_gallardo_2010_03.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Not perfect but pretty much great.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>So&#8230; Maybe it&#8217;s not a fantastic model but for the price it could very well be the best Gallardo in 1:43.
