Larrousse\nTeam: <em>Equipe Gitanes<\/em>\nRace: 1st GC (S class) at Le Mans in 1974\nAltaya - MSE 02 (diecast)\n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Published: 04\/03\/17<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For three years, from 1972 to 1974, French manufacturer Matra reigned at Le Mans, and this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.france-slotforum.fr\/forum\/img\/images\/2008-09\/img_1221222933_715.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#7<\/a> was the last MS 670C to reach the highest place in the podium. Though that pesky <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w-143.com\/index.php\/porsche-911-carrera-rsr-turbo-22-ebbro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martini #22<\/a> porker almost ruined the party, coming just 4 laps behind <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4238\/35249951310_e9e39ae100_o.gif\" width=\"35\" height=\"20\">&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4066\/34827290803_a1f933fdab_o.jpg\" alt=\"MS 670C\" title=\"MS 670C\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I like the car, but look at it: it doesn\u2019t look very fast, does it? And an interesting tidbit: the #7 670C was almost disqualified. Having problems with the gearbox (ironically, Porsche), it was swapped during the race, and at the time this was against the rules. However, French commissaries turned a blind eye to that little detail, and Matra took its third win at La Sarthe. Controversy aside, in 1:43 form methinks it came out pretty ok. Paint is crisp and details are nice, so I would say a good model from Altaya (BUT, you get what you pay for &#8211; the livery isn&#8217;t complete&#8230;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"35\" height=\"20\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4279\/35804132736_47a0fd46af_o.gif\">).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-small-font-size\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w-143.com\/index.php\/matra-ms-670c-7-ixo\/\">09\/10\/18: The W-143 Garage now has a better version of this model.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1974 Matra MS 670C Pilots: H.
