Long \nTeam: <em>Flying Lizard Motorsports<\/em> \nRace: 18th overall (6th in LMGTE-Pro class) at Le Mans in <strong>2011 <\/strong>\nSpark - S3419 (resin) <\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-gray-color has-text-color has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Published 03\/01\/18 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap wp-block-paragraph\">So here we have a second for me: for the second time I\u2019m able to show a <a href=\"https:\/\/dedeporsche.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/m11_1819_fine.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">complete race team for a Le Mans race<\/a> (first time was with my 1964 Porsche System Engineering 904s). I already had the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w-143.com\/index.php\/porsche-911-997-gt3-rsr-81-spark\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blue #81<\/a>, and now I got the <a href=\"http:\/\/speedhunters-wp-production.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/FL_2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">orange<\/a> GT3 RSR #80. Supposedly this is the rarer of the two. I infer that is so just because the <a href=\"http:\/\/speedhunters-wp-production.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/FL_3.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blue #81<\/a> was a DNFer. Or maybe Spark made less of the orange one? However, I have a hard time believing Spark would not issue both models in the same quantities. While that may be true, who knows? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.w-143.com\/+upload\/porsche\/race911\/porsche_911-gt3rsr_80_02.jpg\" alt=\"GT3 RSR #80\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">RSR #80 has possibly one of the five coolest art car liveries of the last 10 years.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rarer than the sister car or not, #80 is another <strong>terrific <\/strong>job in 1:43 from Spark. Basically, one of those oh-so-nice-models that maybe it\u2019s a must buy for all race car collectors. Nonetheless, at least for me, it has a huge bonus: it\u2019s an art car. And being an art car means it&#8217;s a must have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.w-143.com\/+upload\/zgroup\/porsches_08.jpg\" alt=\"GT3 RSR #80\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Team complete!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, the <strong>Art Car Wing<\/strong> of my collection has five (5!) examples!!! Five is officially a \u201cWing\u201d, right? Wing or not, it is interesting to see that <em>most<\/em> art cars at Le Mans are Porsches. I tried to find all the art cars that raced at La Sarthe so far, and it looks like Porsche is the most common choice. Like <em>at least<\/em> 90% of them are from Stuttgart \ud83e\udd28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.w-143.com\/+upload\/zgroup\/artcars_02.jpg\" alt=\"GT3 RSR #80\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">My fledgling Art Car wing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2011 Porsche 911 (997) GT3 RSR Pilots: G.
